Corridor Management Committee

The Scenic Highway designation is an honor for the Green Mountain Scenic Byway and the benefits for the byway and surrounding communities are endless. Just as a sports team has a captain, so too must a scenic highway have a leader in the form of the Corridor Management Committee (CMC), which provides a diverse and well-rounded management structure for the corridor. The CMC is also responsible for helping to promote the resources surrounding the corridor along with protecting the intrinsic characteristics that make the byway unique.

The CMC has developed and implemented a Community Participation Plan to help gain input and foster strong community support. In reality the scenic highway depends upon the community and the community receives tremendous exposure because of the Corridor. The CMC functions as partner, initiator, coordinator and monitor of corridor plans, strategies, programs and events. CMC members are all volunteers and thanks to their hard work and determination this dream has become a reality for this byway.
